Sarah Walker
Sarah Walker is a Level 2 TRI NZ affiliated coach. She is a competitive age group athlete who has been racing in triathlon events since 1998.
She completed her first Iron distance event at the age of 19, and has gone on to complete a further 8 including the IM world Championships in Kona and Challenge Roth, plus 9 Half Iron distance events.
She has been coaching since 2011. She has helped a range of athletes, from beginner to advanced, achieve their triathlon goals from sprint distance tri to Iron distance triathlon.
Sarah loves the sport of triathlon, enjoys getting people started in the sport helping them achieve their triathlon goals.

Russell Smith
Nearly 30 years of participation has provide Russell with a huge amount of knowledge that he is keen to pass on. Over the years he has competed with distinction in duathlons, marathons, multi-sport events, adventure races, Ironman’s and cycle races, having won multiple age group awards in NZ Ironman as well as triathlons and half marathons. He has competed twice in the Ironman World Champs in Hawaii.

Simon Cochrane
He coaches a select group of athletes of varying abilities in Triathlon, running and also gym strength sessions. He has recently moved to Hamilton (from Auckland) and is keen to get involved with the local triathlon community and to take on some more athletes to help them achieve some massive goals.

Suze Landers
Suze is our current Committee chair. She has an extensive background in physical fitness & is a qualified PT instructor. She is an experienced age group athlete, representing New Zealand in world championship events.

Mike Young
Mike has an extensive background in cycling. He loves the sport of cycling and works on a voluntary basis for the club in order to 'pay back' the support he was given when he first started in the sport.
Mike runs the beginner bike sessions for the club, where he takes youth and adult beginner cyclists through the basics of biking technique, gearing, & group riding. He also supports new riders who join the Bob's Bikes cycle groups.

Team Hardcor
Team HardCor is a group of triathletes of all abilities led by Cor Story and Nikki Edwards.
Cor has been coaching for over 35 years and his instincts are a key ingredient in the Team’s success.
Nikki is a Level 2 Tri NZ accredited coach and is the glue that holds the Team together.
Team HardCor has a regular Thursday night swim squad, a Tuesday bike/run session every 2-3 weeks and also provides coach supported and individualised training programmes for athletes doing anything from ironman to those wanting to complete their first triathlon.
We are really excited to be coaching some of the Triathlon Club’s Monday night sessions! We look forward to sharing some tips with those starting out and to creating new challenges for more experienced athletes.
